'Every adventure requires a first step' and most babies take their first steps between 9 and 12 months and are walking, all be it rather wobbly, by the time they're 14 or 15 months old. Sun-San Childrens Sandals

Beyond the first walker baby sandals we have four further styles in the Sun-San range for boys and girls. They start at a UK size 4/ EU 20/21 and go up to a youth size UK 2 / EU 34.The first and most popular choice is the Sun-San Surfer. A double buckle sandal on the spongy sole which comes in a rainbow of colours and finishes including shiny patent and metallic. This is your classic, unisex two strap sandal and a good all-rounder for both wide and narrow feet. One of our best-sellers, the Sun-San Surfer in navy is a popular choice for boys and girls. Next we have the Sun-San Swimmer. Based on the Original Salt-Water, it features the iconic woven leather upper with buckle ankle strap combined with the Sun-San spongy sole. The Sun-San Sweetheart is the prettiest style in the range, but just as practical as it’s Sun-San counterparts. Featuring heart shape cut-outs and scalloped edges it comes in 11 different colours including the popular printed Sun-San cherry sandal. Similar in style to our baby sandal the Sailor, our Sun-San fisherman sandal for older children is the Sun-San Shark. This robust design is great for feet that are always on the move; the semi-closed toe offering extra protection for ball games and adventuring. Sun-San Sandals Sizing

On all childrens Sun-San Sandals we suggest going 1+ size up from your UK size when selecting your sandal size. E.g. if your child is a UK size 6 we suggest a Sun-San size 7. Alongside the listing for each sandal in the online shop you’ll find a size converter so you can work out your Sun-San size from your UK or EU size. We have also created a handy centimetre calculator so that you can measure your child’s feet and make sure you’re buying the correct size. Please also note that kids shoes should not be purposefully bought larger in order to make the sandal "last longer" as the traditional fit of this brand is pretty roomy. With any of the sandals, should you get a sore spot, dunk your foot & sandal into water (yes really!) and wear them until they dry. And remember, every model can be worn as a swim shoe and washed with cool water and mild detergent.
