WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
I grew up in London, South London to be precise. Directly opposite the legendary Nunhead Cemetery, a tragically beautiful Victorian gothic cemetery.
WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST MEMORY?
My earliest memory is walking through the tree-lined paths in Peckham Rye park with my mum. We lived around the corner, so I spent a lot of time in the playground.
HOW DO YOU STYLE YOUR SALT-WATERS?
I love metallic Salties and always wear them with billowy bottoms, so that's either wide legged trousers or floaty skirts - my inner Poirot beach goer.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Experimental and colourful, I like to fuse street with nods to my many vintage icons and my Caribbean heritage.
WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON?
Solange Knowles. She's brave and directional, I would wear everything she does.
If I can slip in another it would be Katherine Hepburn, for her maverick fusion of 'masculine’ practicality with old school Hollywood glamour.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST PRIZED POSSESSION?
Is it corny to say my kids?
WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING?
I rarely watch TV, however, I'm currently watching the movie inspiration for an editorial I'm styling in a couple of weeks. Stills don't cut it, I need to truly understand the story, mood and characters.
WHAT IS ON YOUR BEDSIDE TABLE?
An orchid I killed, that I am currently bringing back to life with a lot of sweet talk and a pot of Orchid feed. I have a fresh stalk growing sideways!
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU GIVE TO WOMEN WHO, SINCE GIVING BIRTH, FEEL THEY HAVE LOST THEIR WAY IN FASHION?
Don't think about the old you, look at the new you and embrace every inch of your body. Start with small flourishes to make a simple outfit pop, like red lipstick, statement jewellery, a patterned jacket or fancy footwear. These little touches will start to build up your style confidence again, while you navigate the minefield of motherhood and maintaining your identity.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT SUNDAY
Church in the morning followed by a big hearty roast and then an afternoon in Greenwich Park and the museums. The view from the top is my favourite spot in London, and the walk back up at the end works off the roast potatoes from lunch.
IF YOU COULD BE REMEMBERED FOR ONE THING WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Loving and helping other people to know love and give it.
