Let's go to the Classic Car Boot Sale!
Salt-Water is a brand steeped in history with a distinctly nostalgic vibe and that's why this London day out is circled and underlined on the SWHQ calendar....
The Classic Car Boot Sale takes place in Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard, one of London's most exciting redevelopments in the heart of Kings Cross. The buildings here were completed in 1852 and the Granary building itself, which was originally used to store wheat for London's bakers, is now home to the world famous art college Central Saint Martins.
The area is worth visiting any time of year, (there's a floating bookshop on the canal) but on April 27th the Classic Cars roll in offering a fantastic selection of pre-loved fashion, homewares and vinyl from their boots.
You probably know by now that the Salt-Water Original was designed in America by British immigrant Walter Hoy during the Second World War. And you'll also know it hasn't changed since; the timeless Salt-Water design looks perfect with vintage styling and if you choose to make a purchase, you'll also be doing your bit for the Reduce, Re-use, Re-cycle movement.
This year has seen the launch of our new Retro model, a plaited Huarache style version of the Salt-Water Original which was originally sold in the USA in the 1970's. If you want to read more about the Hoy Family and the history of Salt-Water you can check out this article.
