Festival Fabulous Fashion

Summer is slipping itself in through the chilly Spring cracks, and with it, brings a whole host of festivals. Now our favourite festivals involve music and food - so that is what we shall focus on firstly. We'll pick a few - my goodness there are just so so many!

June the 21st - 25th is Glastonbury with a line up including Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Ed Sheeran, Biffy Clyro, Katy Perry, Stormzy, Barry Gibb and more. Camp Bestival 27th-30th July is one for the whole family with music, live acts, DJ's, comedy and food - with a line up including Mark Ronson and Madness. And if your thing is more food than music, then The Big Feastival is not to be missed on 25th-28th August.

But as ever - what to wear? In our heads we rock festival style just like Kate Bosworth or Kate Moss, but in reality....maybe not quite. AND, as we know the British weather just loves to play tricks on us, often bringing us four seasons in one day.

Now we refuse to feature wellies in this post as it's too depressing, SO let's try to be a bit optimistic here shall we, and get's get ourselves Festival Fabulous.

It goes without saying that some form of hard rocker T-shirt needs to be involved in this look. Love this choker one by Topshop £22.

No Festival look would be complete without a scarf nonchalantly thrown around your neck. And no one does it better than Rockins. Love this silk crepe paisley one £85 Matchesfashion.

Denim playsuit - yes please. Just try really really hard not to let it drape on the toilet floor when you go - that would be very yucky! Uta Denim Jumpsuit by MIH at Net-A-Porter £295.

This dress is perfect for festivals as it will pack small and won't crease. You need this. Sleeveless colourblock dress £55 Warehouse.

This brilliant long line metallic rain mac serves a number of purposes. Firstly, of course you will be high vis in this - always a good thing at a Festival. You will also be kept dry if it decides to rain, kept warm if it gets a bit chilly and last but of course not least - you shall be super duper stylish. Mac £49.99 Zara.

As you don't want to pack too heavy - small accessories are super helpful to add a bit of zing to take your look from day to night. These Gaia earrings at J.Crew are bang on the big earrings trend and will do that job for you nicely £125.

And how about some rocking sunglasses to keep the sun out of your eyes and/or to scrape your greasy, unruly festival hair back with? Love these by Freda Banana £160 at Avenue 32.

And last but so not least, at floor level - well, our waterproof Salt-Water Sandals of course. Unless of course the great British summer washes the whole thing out! These brown ones will do nicely as if there is a sudden downpour and it gets a bit muddy (a) the mud will not show and (b) you can totally rinse them off! Remember all of our Sandals are 100% WATERPROOF leather and can be washed with a gentle detergent - perfect for unpredictable Festival weather! Plus they flat-pack! Salt-Water Original womens sandals in brown from £59.50.

So you now have the dates, the places and the top to toe look - all you need now is the sun to shine and you are Festival ready. Happy Festival Season People!
